Documentshare – We Dutch Rule web 2.0 :-)

November 3rd, 2006 by Vinnie

documentshareIt is not an Och custom to promote companies or to advertise in anyway, but I really need to share this Dutch website with you.

Everybody knows Imageshack, Rapidshare and Youtube where you can drop your images, documents or video’s. Documentshare offers you 100mb of free space to drop your documents, pdf and other files and share it with those people you want to share it with. The interface is great (beta), the service includes more options like agenda sharing.

Currently the service is mainly aimed at Dutchies but the international free version will go online in a while. I spoke with Peter Kaptein, the Dutchie who is beating Rapidshare and other incomplete services with his free service, and tried to persuade him to make a Wordpress plugin. Wordpress users should be able to upload their documents to the Documentshare server and post downloadable links on their blog without a fuss.

Maybe we will have our own Ochblog library soon.

w00tende MS20 Controller!

September 19th, 2006 by nodog

I’m very proud of my custom-made-by-beneger MS20 controller. Here’s a short video. Yes, it could’ve been filmed better but there wasn’t any time to make this vid and I’ve still only scratched the surface of all possibilities anyway. [/excusetruse]

oh, and thx @ my brother for filming!

Google has updated its maps! According to Google Maps Mania and Google Earth Blog:

The rest of the Netherlands now in high res – Except some military bases are now “speckled” so you can’t see them.

So check Google Maps or start Google Earth and try to find yourself in the garden, or your car in a traffic jam, or your wife with the windowwasher, or

Plemp one of the last places you’ve been in the comments!

Apparently, the internet is not only about looking for fapping-material.

A good example of how it can also be used can be found here; an incredibly extensive site with maps, pictures, movies of one of the world’s most important archaeological zones: Thebes, Egypt.
