hillary

Jup the King of the Hill just went a little bit higher.

Much has changed since he and Tenzing were the first on the Everest. Like dumping your trash is heavily checked, you can make a phone call when your on the top and not getting to the top is important anymore, but how many clothes you wear, which route for what amount of cash and who you leave behind. True, the story of Into Thin Air proved that still your travel agency requires some training besides money, but that sounds like a issue of details, right?

Next challenge, anyone* ? [more for original climb footage etc.]

skisnowIts getting colder and those snow-nerves are hikking up. Safety first! (by terje), because snow rolls TOO easy…
Just be faster (roughtly 260km/h). Not that most extreme skiers have much choice with 60 degrees hills. Skiing or Snowboarding, either way..
Or just take it relax, like the old days..enjoy the view.. time for a holiday ?
(Grab a movie here and there), bIen Sur!
 How many?

Extreme Snow Pleasure

January 22nd, 2007 by Chocotoffert

plaatjeIf I would ask you; “where do you first think of when I say; “extreme skiing” ? You probably would have some ideas. Next question however isn’t as easy to answer; “what makes something extreme enough to define/call it extreme skiing”? I wouldn’t have bothered to answer this question if it wasn’t for the fact that I couldn’t find pictures of a French bastard skier on a very steep glacier hill. After digging for a couple of days I found that the best definition you’re probably are going to get is the one by Remy Lecluse; “Extreme skiing is to ski all that is not vertical”. Why so vague?

While I haven’t found the French bastard yet, I’m happy to share some of the spam I met on the way… Enjoy!
