Today’s news reports that one of my favourite Dutch industrial designers ‘Benno Wissing’ has died at age 84.
Everyone who has ever landed on our national airport near Amsterdam has encounterd his famous design of the signs at Schiphol Airport.
Even today, Schiphol’s big yellow signs are a global icon of airport signposting…

One of The Netherlands’ dearest and beloved showmaster, stand-up comedian, entertainer, musical-star, producer and sweetheart of all moms Jos Brink will be buried within a few hours. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
