“Introduction: 17 years ago a small recording studio, TOP SHELF, located in the basement of a brownstone in the East Village section of New York, was looted during the Thompkins Square riots of 1988, displacing the recordings of many soon-to-be Hip Hop stars. The studio had been the meeting place for many rappers, neighborhood kids, and producers that would later be responsible for the greatest period of the Hip Hop age, “The Golden Era.” A search commenced soon after the recordings were lost, but nothing was ever found. So sought after were the tapes, they soon acheived Holy Grail status amongst Hip Hop circles. Despite years of searching, and dozens of hopeless crusades, the tapes remained lost. No one was quite sure who took them or where they were… until now.

Es ist mir wirklich seit lange Zeit nicht mehr Fremd was passiert mit Unserem Osternachbaren. Aber die lätzte Tagen sind eigentlich nog ebenso viel mehr klahr.
Haben wir Gestern schon einen wheinende Erich Honecker Zabel auf die Television gesehen, umdas er nur einer Woche verbotene drogen hat benutzt. (Und mit der Zabel auch anderen Deutscher Männer die auch allen sagten das Sie es wel haben gewusst.) Heute abend war meine Augen gefallen auf eines Seite was mich nog so Wie mochlich nog mehr überteugt hatte von die neue frisschem Wind welchem durch Deutschland blaast.
Ich mochte nicht verraten über was die Seite dreht. Die Seite ist eine schöne. Geil aber jedoch nicht GFDA (Gefährlich fur die Arbeit). Eine wirkliche überraschung!!

As an anthropologist with a strong interest in social online communities (or virtual communities) I have a fieldday almost everyday. Because it seems like every day a new community site appears online. Today a friend of mine mailed me this new community website with our famous sex pervert and animal lover Martin Gaus.

Earlier this week tante Betsy expressed her feelings about the new religious zure oprisping that has been going on lately. I wouldn’t want to express myself in the same bold manner but sertain fears about where this revival of dogmatic non-thinking is taking us I do share. Let’s be frank if you prefer to believe some fairy-tales written down thousands of years ago by halfwits I pitty you. If you ‘choose’ to infect your childs vulnerable brain with the same falsehoods I call you a child abuser but alas law forbids me to do very much about it. If you try however to force your misguided lifestyle upon unwilling fellow humans through political means I will oppose you until my days are done. I don’t have beef with religion per se but I think at least all abrahimic faiths are mental disorders that cause a lot more grief than they cure.

I’m always collecting these cool, strange or wtf?! links like we all do. Some of us choose to tell us about their webdiscoveries in the BSC but I though I’d just make a nice post out of it. How else could I tell you about the highest denomination ever printed or a supercool fountain? (Remind me to get one when I have a home with a decent garden.)

Sketching is something you do with this easy google tool and pumpkins are carved this way. (Start practicing now for this years halloween.) A few tips form me to finish it off: don’t be cynical and get a nice hobby like taking pictures or making bunny cartoons.
Yes, yes.. I have been posting about good old Charlie Manson before: 1, 2 (the torrents are dead!). But I just had to let all of you people know about this excellent site.
The site mainly focuses on the various albums released with music that Manson has recorded in all these years in prison. Most of the featured music is downloadable, via donkeypricksucking megaupload, but anyway it IS downloadable… Sometimes it features an old TV interview.. Anyway fun for the people enjoying this sort of stuff.
