Allthough Tyner has been around for some while, och now has joined tha stable version. While were at it, the latest Wordcamp in San Francisco had some nice information for the coming versions. Enjoy.

Excellent documentary about how big car companies first made a perfectly fine electric car and then killed it off as quick as possible when people actually wanted to buy it.
Nicely strange, illogical and slightly evil. Seems like pretty fine reasons to watch it.
Compulsory wikipedia and IMDB links.
Textdump for folks who prefer reading about it.

I’m busy with a project at work where we use some RFID tags. We use them for a kind of fun and useful reason, in Mediamatic’s symbolic table, to give something ‘back’ for the stories we collect and to trigger reminiscing. The table is used in several senior homes where we gather with some inhabitants around the table and start watching some old movie fragments, activated by RFID tags in the movie stills cards that the seniors can choose from. Triggered by these old movies, these pioneers of inburgering tell us their stories about emigrating to Holland.
This innocent purpose is not normal in RFID-tagging, it seems. Some are still nice, some are practical but other adaptations are more verontrustend and others are downright scarying.

Three Chinese guys decided to build their own Transformer after seeing the recent blockbuster movie. Unfortunately you won’t hear any cool sounds or commands to lay down your weapons. Unable to transform or move, the X2 is a 1,200 pound kick ass statue that cost about $8,000 to make. If you think that is cool, they are planning on making Optimus Prime next…[via]

While there’s all kind of stuff lying around in which you can buy a wii guitar, why not build besides the wii remote, simply your own toy guitar into a wii guitar!
Props for Dave, doing just that. Continue reading ‘Sleeping Dogs’
A while ago I celebrated my umptienth birthday and my house was filled with family and friends from afar and close.
From Ikiro I got two sets of flashing bicycleledlights and Beneger showed up with a so called vosim. For those of you who ever met him: he often brings something along with him that makes sound. (From now on that will be Balou). And then there was Choco who took a video of the bleep thingie.
This bleeping apparatus is an optically controllable vosim, a voice simulator, a simplistical optical vocal chord simulator. Continue reading ‘Flash piep’
