VA – DJ Clay – Let Em Bleed The Mixxtape Vol. 2 (2008)

August 26th, 2008 by R3n3

Xplode brings us DJ Clay’s new CD, packed full of rap and horrorcore goodness. If you have a taste for the wicked shit, this is for you.

DJ Clay remixed Insane Clown Posse’s “24″ on The Wraith: Remix Albums and has worked with Twiztid, contributing to a track on the Independent’s Day album in 2007. Clay was briefly signed to Psychopathic Records in early 2007, only to leave and become the first artist to sign with their new sub-label Hatchet House where he dropped his debut mixtape Let ‘Em Bleed: The Mixxtape, Vol. 1 in 2008, which was a Juggalo success. In a 15-minute interview on WBLQ show Rotten Radio on June 27, 2008 he discussed his DJ slot on the current Dark Lotus’ The Opaque Brotherhood US tour, his new album and his influences. The second volume of the Let ‘Em Bleed mixtape series was released on July 8, 2008. He plans to release 3 mixtapes a year.

Now we give you vol. 2 and we’ll probably bring you vol. 3 when it drops, enjoy. This is retail just like vol. 1; available just about anywhere.

Muxdubtape

piepMixtapes are ‘hip’.. Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore edited a nice coffee table book several years ago about this 80’s/90’s nostalgia phenomenon. Just before I wrote this post I noticed a link that fellow Ocher Joid had posted in our infamous BullShitChat. It was a link to a site called Muxtape.com. They allow you to make your own ‘mixtape’ that is saved on their server! How cool! The limit is 12 songs. Not bad at all.

Since several Ochers have asked me about my love for the Dubstep genre I created a custom 58 minute Dubstep mixtape.. >>Here<<

Extreme Ironing, where people take to ironing in remote and dangerous locations, doesn’t have a huge following in Japan, but is an established international sport.

EIJ, Extreme Ironing Japan, is now the largest active extreme ironing group and takes great pride in the sport of Extreme Ironing.

Hiphop van de bovenste plank [update]

Top Shelf 8/8/88 Compilatie

Een album met lost tapes uit 1988. Hiphop van de bovenste plank, Japan only…

“Introduction: 17 years ago a small recording studio, TOP SHELF, located in the basement of a brownstone in the East Village section of New York, was looted during the Thompkins Square riots of 1988, displacing the recordings of many soon-to-be Hip Hop stars. The studio had been the meeting place for many rappers, neighborhood kids, and producers that would later be responsible for the greatest period of the Hip Hop age, “The Golden Era.” A search commenced soon after the recordings were lost, but nothing was ever found. So sought after were the tapes, they soon acheived Holy Grail status amongst Hip Hop circles. Despite years of searching, and dozens of hopeless crusades, the tapes remained lost. No one was quite sure who took them or where they were… until now.

July 2nd, 2007 by Vinnie

sLiedertafel Margot HoneckerJust in time for the 4th of July, here is some classic propaganda music to remind you of the wonders of socialism, especially the East German variant of it…. But enough of the reminiscing, let’s hear the music of Liedertafel Margot Honecker, from their first 7″ single Gute Freunde.
