IFFR close up

February 3rd, 2007 by nodog

iffr IFFR is nearly over. Yesterday I watched my last movie from the 15 I managed to grab this year (not that much compared to other enthousiasts mind!).
More than enough movies to manage to sit next to a whole lot of people who annoyed the crap out of me though! :-)

During the more lengthy drama films (for instance Hana and After This Our Exile) I had enough time to think of some categories to put these people in so here goes:

IIFR update

February 2nd, 2007 by Chocotoffert

iffrHere a small update of the IFFR. We had a look at the videoroom @ the Hilton Hotel. It is possible there to watch for free a range of long and short movies. We actually saw nobody do that, rather “sleeping” seemed to be hip for both people hanging in the room and on the film screens. Jup, cult films didn’t do under for their image.

Tag a building

January 31st, 2007 by Chocotoffert

Remember the outside drawings of Pikapika Light? Something quite similar is going to happen in Rotterdam. The KPN building there already has an animated “pixel” display on the building front. Well, now the back of the building will from 7-10 February be used for drawings by hand. The Graffiti Lab will try it with pencils. So if your feeling like making your building tag, mark your agenda.

Web-awards 2.0

January 27th, 2007 by Vinnie

Time for some awards. While most awards are about what people write or dumped on their sijt, there’s actually also some awards for their well trusted backbone/platform and online services which aren’t as much mentioned.
Well, yesterday for the first time the first Dutch web awards for the next wave of webservices and tools, aka web 2.0, were handed out: Web 2.0 awards.
The presentation was done in a very cozy and beautiful room. Even a mac on the toilet! I enjoyed the event, congratulate the winners and are looking forward to next years event. More photos and reviews here and here.
