Gewoon een erg goede film. Lekker gewelddadig (sleutelwoord: FUNCTIONEEL, meneer Gibson). Goed geakteerd. Vergeet niet de subs erbij te downen anders is het geen doen, dat noord-engelse accent.

Aangezien er geen nieuw seizoen meer zou komen had ik niet gecheckt voor nieuwe afleveringen van de beste komische serie ooit (okee, er zijn meer kandidaten voor die titel, persoonlijke mening etc etc).
Nu blijkt echter dat er in december vorig jaar, als opmaat voor de komende film, nog een enkele aflevering is gemaakt; “Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys“. Het fijne is dat dat ook nog eens de beste aflevering ooit blijkt te zijn. Wat een finale voor deze prachtserie!

Gisteren zomaar tegengekomen op m’n hd. Random aangeklikt en enorm genoten. Geen aktie, geen geweldig plot, gewoon wat karakters die hun ding doen. Verder iets met dwergen en treinen maar eigenlijk doet dat er allemaal niet toe.

Excellent documentary about how big car companies first made a perfectly fine electric car and then killed it off as quick as possible when people actually wanted to buy it.
Nicely strange, illogical and slightly evil. Seems like pretty fine reasons to watch it.

Lots of feminist roadmovies and films about gay cowboys eating pudding. Not much left to watch (certainly not as much as last year and even that year was worse than the year before). Still… the few films I did see were mostly excellent.

Phase IV is a great typical 70’s movie about ants getting supersmart and some folks trying to understand and/or battle them. Very entertaining while being thoughtprovoking. One of those overlooked cultclassics, a mustsee!

Okay, not exactly the first blogpost about this but I think it needs to be done; it’s friday RIP-day + it’s Jan Wolkers!
There’s enough stuff to be said about his life & work, just check all those other blogs, newspapers or wikipedia. The one thing I’d like to add is that he was one of those few famous people who are on the good side, friendly but still telling it like it is… There aren’t many people who are able to do that and if only for that ability we’ll miss him dearly.

Na het bezoek aan een opening van een designtoestand hiero waarvan het beeldmateriaal helaas(?) op de edith-tafel is gesneuveld togen mijn vriend Bob en ik naar de nieuwe Amsterdamse bibliotheek. De Bullshit-chat bleek ook vanuit deze zogenaamde iBieb toegankelijk te zijn dus tevreden togen we naar het NDSM terrein in Noord voor de openingsmanifestatie van de Kunststad waarna het hoogtepunt van de avond volgde, namelijk het bijwonen van een optreden van het vetste Soundsystem this side of London: King Shiloh.
