What shall we nów having?! I walk this afternoon into a antiekshop and there I find this beautiful postcard with “The Sunny Boys”! So, I thought, let’s look on the internets if they are still as cool as the were on the picture. And what sketches my amazement? There is already another site with ochblogisch that is writing about the biggest hit from The Sunny Boys: “Madonna der Nacht” (”Madonna der nacht, jij bent gekomen, wie had dat gedacht?”). There is a lot more great stuff on “Het beste van toen” or as the webmaster translated so perfectly: “The best from then“! Much pleasure with downloading hè.

Has the whole world gone nuts? T-mobile just announced that they want the sole rights to the color Magenta. Apparently, you can get that pattented. That by itsself is sick enough already, but now T-mobile is ordering other companies to stop using the color. I say to T-mobile: go and put your patent in some nice magenta colored part of your body! Ochblog goes Pink! (For a day or so. Or until T-mobile sues our asses).

Iggy started an old fashioned riot together with some naked members of the audience (screw security and all your bloody backstage passes, “Invade the stage!!!”), Muse played one of the best live sets I’ve ever seen (including an amazing lightshow, although they could have left out the corny ’spinning earth’ animation…) and there was no bloody rain! This was, my fellow music lovers, a very, very good second day at pinkpop. (Next to that, I finally got to meet JayJay’s sister!)

Yes peoples, it is that time of the year again: pinkpop 2007 is about to start. Yours truly is now stuck in a hotel in Landgraaf, listening to heavy thunderstorms passing over, wondering how Jan Smeets is feeling. Your personal reporter will be present throughout the festival and will try to get you some nice (backstage) pics. Let’s start of with this collection, which is mainly about the Oxfam Novib tent, since there weren’t any artists yet.

As the Dutch saying goes: “Drunk people always tell the truth”, so when I discovered that my drunk fellow editors had decided to organize a mutiny against their great roerganger, I decided there were only two ways to react: hunt them all down and lynch them, or show them that I still love them all very much and maybe i should pay some more attention to this blog. I decided to go with the first option, so: my condolences to the families, and as I am now the only editor left, I present you with the following:

It’s always nice to stumble upon things you don’t expect. For instance, I was looking for this song by Innaway. In the same directory i found this nice track by someone called Jacky Greene and also one of my favourite Blackalicious tracks. Well, enough talking, have a look in this open dir and you’re bound to find something you like as well.

I don’t hate the fools, I pity them! Mr. T has a new show, and it’s called: “I pity the fool”. It’s lame, it’s tragic, but hey, it’s still mr. bloody T! Check it out on demonoid.

Outfoxed is a documentary on Ruport Murdoch and his Fox News Channel. It gives a nice insight into the world of populisitic journalism, and shows you why Fox is a means for right wing propaganda rather than a “fair and balanced”-news network, as they like to call themselves. The documentary is a little sloppy, and uses some light propagandistic techniques itself, but is definitely worth wachting.

Yes, and it’s fotofuck friday again! Today we will be editting photos of Hubert. No, not Hubert ‘you know who’, but other Huberts, such as this Hubert, this Hubert and this Hubert. Voting is no longer possible, but your entry will be judged by a farely capable but sometimes lazy jury. We will not correspond on the results, although a frisbee and a napkin could perform miracles. The winner will, one day, be able to select a free t-shirt from the freshcottonshop. Kris’ Ochblog-logo’s cannot be found here.

This is a public service announcement! In the weeks after Israel launched its attack on Lebanon, a team of New York-based artists, designers, and multimedia producers converged on a warehouse location in Brooklyn to create a Public Service Announcement. Check it now.

So I know this brilliant violin player from the UK, though he’ll never admit his brilliance. And this guy has a brother, who’s in a jazzband and, not entirely by coincidence, also plays the violin. The people from Allaboutjazz.com have selected one of their tracks as their weekly free download. The track is called “Heatwave” and is from their debut album “A Minor Hapiness”. So, if you’re into jazz, and even if you’re not, this track is worth the (free and legal) download. Check out more at davidandjosh.com.

If there’s anyone who’s able to combine humor, rock and bad taste, it would have to be Jack Black. A new Jack Black movie called Nacho Libre will appear soon (check the hilarious pre-movie confessionals). Some more Jack Black stuff which everyone should have seen/listened to at least once:
