girdersgruel
Hello boys and girls !
Today we are going to make some old fashion girdersgruel.

The ingredients are as follows:
1 pighead without the chin
1/4 kilo of lard
5 litres of water
Salt
Pepper
Rubbleseasoning (rommelkruid)
Nailgritseasoning (nagelgruis)
3/4 kilo of pancakemeal
Flower
Suet to bake

For this meal you need a very large cooking pan (ask your mum for it !) because of the pighead.

Wash the pighead and cook it together with the lard and some salt (1 spoon/litre) until the meat of the head almost falls of the headbones.
Take the meat of the headbones and take it together with the lard through the meatgrinder.

Season this mixture at your own taste with the pepper, nailgrit and rubbleseasoning.
Fill your cookingwater until you got 5 litres of it, take it again to a boilingpoint and add the meatmixture and again boil it.
Take the pancakemeal and stur it through the mixture until you’ll get a good stiff mixture.
Taste it and salten it if it’s to faint.
Scatter some undeep bowls with the flower, pour the girdersgruel into these bowls and let it cool down.

If it’s cold cut the girdersgruel inte fingerthick slices, get them through the flower and fry them fast in a frying pan with the suet until they are brown.

Serve the girdersgruel on a sandwich it’s lovely !!!
Enjoy your meal.
